Florida Center for Cybersecurity

New Skills for a New Fight

Program Brochure

New Skills for a New Fight (NSNF) is a pilot cybersecurity training and certification program that focuses on preparing veterans for a specific, high-demand job role.

NSNF focuses on incident response and has three phases:

  • 15 weeks of academic focus on IT and security foundations
  • 10 weeks of intensive hands-on training
  • A 15-week internship/mentorship

This intensive 30-week, full-time, on-campus program offers free tuition, fees, books and certification vouchers. This program is designed for students with a basic background of knowledge and experience with IT concepts that are considering educational options at the undergraduate level. This program is being offered to students that have already achieved an undergraduate or graduate degree as well.

By leveraging the Center's partnerships with Florida's state universities and military installations, NSNF will provide a model for increasing the pipeline of cyber talent on a statewide level and beyond.

The cohort class is in-session, information about possible future classes will be available at a later date. Please check the website for updates.
